Sandvik is a global, high-tech engineering group providing solutions that enhance productivity, profitability and sustainability for the manufacturing, mining and infrastructure industries.
In collaboration with the team at Sandvik, we developed a Facility Brand Concept that conveys the brand identity in a spatial context. It is a translation of brand values into physical elements – through colours, materiality and textures, as well as functionality and experience. The overarching idea is a modular and scalable approach towards a modern, creative and playful atmosphere that supports a collaborative mindset.
The result is a strong concept with a seamless experience of brand values and physical identity, as well as functional, flexible spaces for Sandvik’s employees and visitors to dwell in. The concept reinforce Sandvik’s position as a leader and an enabler of important shifts, advancing the world through engineering.

The work includes solutions for different areas in a facility; reception, offices, conference and lounge, creative spaces and production. All areas are built from combinations of functions to create the desired space with the right functionality, ambience and brand experience.
A function based toolbox helps as inspiration and guidance to create optimal solutions for each individual area. The different functions support a variety of options for implementation. The toolbox consists of furniture, functional equipment and conceptual brand elements.
The concept contains a graphic system for wayfinding and communication as important carriers of brand and a strong visual identity.
