Alcro Studio
A grid for bold emotions
Details
Alcro, Sweden’s leading paint brand, introduces Alcro Studio—a nationwide retail concept currently with around 75 stores, offering a complete solution for home renovation and interior design. As a long term partner to Alcro, BAS ID was assigned to create a new brand from scratch. A new name, brand strategy, visual identity and brand new retail concept to bridge the established paint brand with the new retail offering.
The visual identity reflects both structure and creativity. Color and décor create emotions and atmospheres—a fresh coat of paint can transform a room and influence your mood. But finding your personal style can feel overwhelming.
The identity features a functional, structured design that provides a calm backdrop for creativity and exploration.
The joy of peeling away masking tape symbolizes project completion, an iconic moment for professionals and first-time painters alike. The masking tape plays a dual role, separating design elements while acting as a fifth element, beyond typography, colors, and photos, binding Alcro Studio's brand identity together.
BAS ID’s long-standing partnership with Alcro includes developing the brand identity and award-winning packaging that has established Alcro as a leader in the paint industry. Alcro Studio strengthens this collaboration, positioning Alcro at the forefront of the future home retail market.

The identity balances Alcro’s deep expertise with the emotional power of color. A functional grid provides structure and helps customers organize impressions and inspiration for their interior projects. At the same time, playful illustrations add a warm, personal touch — as if an expert left a handwritten note in the margin or sketched out an idea. Combined with a direct and warm photographic style, this makes an identity that strikes the right balance between expertise and inspiration.

A design system that extends from all communication layers in the store to print and social media, bridging guides, inspiration, and sales steering into a cohesive brand expression.
