Sunwing Sandy Bay Beach in Cyprus has been a long-time favorite among Ving’s guests, celebrated for its family-friendly atmosphere and stunning location. In 2023, the hotel underwent extensive renovations led by BAS, enhancing functionality, aesthetics, and the overall guest experience.
The transformation included redesigned rooms, pools, restaurants, a spa, gym, fitness facilities, the lobby, an updated Mini Market, and a newly designed show concept with both indoor and outdoor seating. The show venue features a theatrical aesthetic with rust reds, deep blues and rich greens, softened by rounded design elements and enhanced lighting for seamless transitions from daytime to evening. The rooms, lobby and pool areas reflect a warm Scandinavian style, combining natural materials, clean lines and soft colors to create a calm and timeless retreat. BAS went beyond spatial features by implementing a refreshed graphic identity for Sandy Bay Beach, enhanced with playful illustrations by Sofia Daskalaki and a revamped wayfinding system.
Sunwing is a collection of nine family-oriented resorts across the Mediterranean and Thailand, renowned for their high standards in design, comfort and functionality. BAS ID has contributed to these resorts globally by developing concepts, graphic design and interior architecture for all areas. The success of the concept lies in its strong Scandinavian design - welcoming, familiar and timeless. A playful graphic identity adds personality to the spaces while improving navigation, further enriching the guest experience.

The bar exudes a bold yet inviting atmosphere, with its rich rust-red shelving contrasting against the reflective metallic backdrop, creating a dynamic interplay of color and texture. Soft, ambient lighting accentuates the rounded architectural forms, while the blue tiled bar front adds a sophisticated touch, grounding the space in elegance and warmth.
